Beertje

This is a reproduction of the first birthday card that my husband gave me. As the card was becoming damaged over time, I decided to turn it in to a painting so that we could remember the moment forever.

Technical

This is the first time I've finished in a painting in a short period of time.

Normally I work on my paintings for a long time, but this time I was happy with the result after 3 painting sessions.

Whilst there are areas that could benefit from more work, I'm happy with how the main subject of the painting appears and happy with the looser brush strokes which is an area I want to explore more in the future.
